In April 2006, Nelson Investments Inc. owners, Chris and his wife Stephanie, joined two partners in the formation of Gordon Nelson Inc. They pursued public and private investment opportunities in a variety of industries including Internet, hospitality and multi-family real estate.

These projects included being part-owner and operator of several rental buildings in downtown Vancouver including; 1209 Jervis Street, 1057 Barclay Street, 1133 Barclay Street, 1075 Burnaby Street, 2254 Cornwall Ave., 1104 Haro Street and 1540 Haro Street. Most of these buildings received significant refurbishment investments improving safety, environmental performance and overall modernization and have since been sold.

In 2010, Gordon Nelson Inc. acquired a 53-unit resort, Ocean Village Beach Resort, located in beautiful Tofino, BC.

In 2015, Gordon Nelson Inc. acquired Pacific Sands, a 77-unit, 40+ acre ocean front resort also located in Tofino, BC. Chris & Stephanie continue to own and operate Pacific Sands today.

In 2018, Gordon Nelson Inc. was dissolved and Nelson Investments, Inc. was founded. Today, Nelson Investments Inc. continues to be owner and operator of Pacific Sands Resort, and is engaged in local apartment building development, and has invested in several start-up and established local companies.
